TopKids Karaka is a modern centre that caters for children aged from 3 months right through until they are ready to start school. We have three beautiful, custom-built environments designed to support the learning and development of specific age groups. These rooms are resourced with the latest equipment to support your child’s development.

While we have ages assigned to each room, these are flexible to support children with toilet training, speech development and their emotional and physical development.

Our centre offers inspiring, natural learning spaces where children have the freedom and opportunities to create, explore, investigate, develop ideas, make friends and become lifelong learners. We have a dedicated team who are focused on providing quality child care and education. Our diverse teaching team brings their own passion and energy in different ways each and every day.

Our large outdoor playground boasts a water feature, large sand pit, climbing equipment, scooter track and quiet spaces which we will develop with gardens alongside the children.

Together our teaching team has over 35 years experience in Early Childhood. We are all influenced by the Magder Gerber philosophy which specializes in respectful practice and supporting children to develop and have a love of learning through high quality, unrushed interactions.

Children tend to settle quickly and find it easy to transition into the centre. Transition visits with parents or caregivers are strongly encouraged to support children while settling in,developing bonds and establishing friendships.

Faith

I love the variety of things he gets up to in his day. He is equally confident at home. He can climb up and down onto the trampoline using the ladder and now he mows with a mower instead of the improvised pushchair he had – same as preschool 🙂 Memphis regularly enjoys dancing with Holly and Cruise as they model moves for him to try – and he does! and spending time playing action songs like ‘row row your boat’. His confidence in water has also grown. He lies on his front and back in the bath and kicks his legs when encouraged with the words “swimming, swimming”. He has even begun to paddle the water as it runs to ensure all the warm makes its way to the end ( like he has seen the older kids do). He loves to ‘do jobs’ around the house like I know he does at preschool too, like washing and making beds. He will definitely give anything a go and its great to see that it transfers to his other home and caregivers.

Our experience with TopKids Karaka started prior to them opening with our initial enquiry and at every point of contact we have been impressed with their communication and helpfulness. Being a brand new centre everything is well set out, new and clean. More importantly in the words of our 3 year old the staff are ‘fun and nice’. He settled in straight away and hasn’t looked back. Our son has severe food allergies and the staff have embraced all that comes with that, nothing is too much trouble, even baking days are organised so food is safe for him so he can be involved. I have recommended TopKids to many friends and neighbours, which in itself is testament to how happy we are with the job they do. Our son looks forward to his time there each week, he’s happy, has fun and is extremely well looked after.

TopKids Karaka is a fantastic childcare centre! Right from the very first visit all of the staff made me and my baby feel very welcome. The staff are all absolutely wonderful! They care so much for all of the children, and it is very clear to see. They are very accommodating in regards to my baby’s routines and needs, and they follow her cues and routines instead of trying to make her fit into a different routine. They are very open and honest about the goings on in the centre, which I really appreciate. My baby was only 4 months old when she started at TopKids, and right from the start the staff made sure to keep her extra safe and secure because she is so young. I know that my baby is very well cared for and I feel very confident that she is in good hands.

Parent

My son started at TopKids Karaka when he was 11 months old and has absolutely loved it! He is now 16 months old and is developing in leaps and bounds. Every day when I pick him up, I see how happy and engaged he is. He adores his teachers and has made lots of friends!
