First Steps Mount Maunganui
First Steps Mount Maunganui is a quality childcare centre situated in the sunny Bay of Plenty. We are close to the Bayfair shopping complex and the famous Mt Maunganui beach. Our centre offers both morning and afternoon sessions, as well as all-day care for children.
The Pukeko’s Nest is our room for babies and toddlers aged under 2 years. Your child will be looked after by our professional and dedicated team in a warm, calm, safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Our infants and toddlers have a caregiver to support them as early learners and create a trusting relationship. We believe in providing time, space and plenty of opportunities for children to explore the environment and practice their skills in their own time.
Our Kea Kids room is for children aged over 2 years. Children build relationships, explore their interests and learn to Be School Ready in a positive, supportive and challenging environment. They are supported to develop confidence, a strong sense of belonging and important friendships. Our Kea Kids grow to have a love of learning and are confident and capable learners. The Kea Kids room offers a big playground which is full of challenges for all our children.
First Steps Mount Maunganui value parent/families/whanau contribution and encourage you to share your goals and aspirations for your children. Programme planning is based around the children’s emerging and current interests. Our centre supports this by providing enriching experiences through a range of activities, outings/excursions and experiences that fosters the children’s learning and development. We also offer a range of extra curriculum activities which include, swimming lessons to Baywave once a week, visits to the mobile library as well as parent/families/whanau events and excursions.
There is safe off-street parking for parents/families/whanau to get their children to and from the car. Our professional and friendly team invites you to come and meet us and see our quality interactive environment in action. We have an ‘open door policy’ so feel free to visit us anytime within our opening hours.
