EduKids East Tamaki

EduKids East Tamaki is a new childcare and early learning centre in Papatoetoe, located close to Hunters Corner. We care for children from 3 months to 5 years old.

Our infant and preschool rooms

Nga Kakano – Infants and Toddlers (0 to 2 year olds) 

Our Nursery is a safe and nurturing space with carefully selected age appropriate toys and equipment to engage and extend our youngest children’s learning and development. We have an open plan area and wonderful outdoor play space where our babies can explore freely.  We have excellent teacher-to-child ratios: 1:3, which ensures children are closely supported by responsive and loving teachers. We take pride in teaching our younger children to develop self helps skills that they can continue to grow as they transition to the preschool rooms and further to school. 

Te Rito – Preschool 1 (2 to 3.5 year olds) 

This room supports the growing developmental needs of our 2 to 3.5 year olds, who are discovering and being curious about the world around them. Teachers follow children’s leads and develop programmes to suit their needs and requirements through various developmental areas like language and literacy, social skills, physical development and creative expression. Most importantly, teachers provide responsive care-giving that ensures your child’s well-being through making them feel safe and secure in their environment.

Nga Rau – Preschool 2 (3.5 to 5 year olds) 

This room supports children’s growing confidence in their abilities and skills. We provide a programme that is child led and allows them to take ownership of their learning. There is nothing better than seeing the pride on a child’s face when they solve a problem by themselves or the look of wonder when they make new discoveries. Nurturing this natural curiosity helps develop inquiring minds, setting our children up for a love of learning for life. The programme also emphasises social and emotional readiness.
