Community Kindy Greenwood

Here at Community Kindy Greenwood, children are supported to further develop their interests and are given the opportunity to explore, learn and experience all that they can.

We are a team of qualified teachers who understand about child development and how to maximise children’s learning potential learn through everyday play and routines. We promote and extend children’s thinking around maths, science, technology, literacy, the arts, music, gardening, taking care of animals and physical education.

Our unique Be School Ready initiative includes visits to local primary schools and teachers from the primary schools are invited to join our parent evenings. We have a lending library for the 4 year olds where children experience the joys of books and are able to share them with their families/whānau.

We recognise and value parent’s ideas and input into their child’s learning. We welcome your contribution to your child’s education and every day, teachers will be glad to see and talk to you. We use Story Park online portfolios which enable parents to see and make comments about their child’s stories and photos and enable the wider family to see them too.
