BestStart Oraha Road is a brand new early learning centre in the Kumeu / Huapai area, providing quality education and care for children aged between 3 months to 5 years old.

Our five indoor environments are built to support the learning and development of every age group – Nursery, Infants, Toddlers and Preschool. Each room is equipped with high quality, focused resources designed to spark curious minds.

Our internal environment is supported with an expansive outdoor area, surrounded by established trees that provide a naturally beautiful backdrop. Children can challenge themselves on the playground equipment while building their independence and self-confidence.

Healthy, nutritious meals and snacks are provided throughout the day.

We offer BestStart's Be School Ready initiative for our preschool children, which is incorporated into everyday practice, assisting with the next step in their learning journey. The initiative encourages children to use their developing self-help skills and provides a range of opportunities to extend their independence.

Your child’s learning journey and milestones will be captured and shared through one-on-one communication and our online learning portfolios on Storypark. This is a great way to keep up to date with what your child is doing while at the centre. You can log in to see what’s been happening in their day, check out photos of them and comment on their activities.

Transferring my child from another daycare centre where he had been from a very young age was a daunting task! On our first day at BestStart Oraha Road he settled in well to his new classroom environment. The teachers had him engaged in new and interesting activities quickly. Though there were a few tears over the first week (to be expected!) the teachers and manager have worked really hard on building a great relationship with him which has made the world of difference! He happily goes off to daycare every morning, and always looks forward to seeing his new friends and teachers!

Extremely welcoming and supportive teachers have helped the transition of our baby boy attending daycare to be a very positive experience. I believe that communication is integral, and at BestStart we are constantly informed of his progress. He has a personalised day book and also stories and photos of his experiences are shared weekly with us which is awesome!
