BestStart Naenae

Providing a hub of learning and fun in the Naenae Community. Located at 244 Naenae Road, adjacent to Rata street school, BestStart Naenae (formerly Community Kindy Naenae) is proud of our purpose built centre and provide awesome opportunities for children and their whanau to learn.

School Connections

We have a close relationship with Rata Street and Naenae Primary Schools which sees our children regularly visiting the schools to foster the Tuakana-teina relationships between school children/older siblings and our kindy children. This allows the children to familiarise themselves with the school environment and supports smoother transitions to school.

Community

We are at the heart of our community, we go on regular walks around the local area, ensuring we are a part of what is happening locally and invite community role models into our kindy to share their knowledge with the children.

Our team of passionate teachers are as diverse as the children who we are privileged to spend our days with. Nurturing the different cultures here at BestStart Naenae is important to us as we strive to uphold cultural practices and inspire the children to be proud of their heritage. We celebrate various language weeks alongside the local primary schools, learning cultural dances, exploring cultural foods and engaging in cultural learning experiences.

Whanau

We value our children and whanau, providing them with a home away from home. We encourage and welcome whanau to be a part of their child/ren’s learning journeys and encourage them to work alongside their children and teachers to provide children with quality education, care and learning outcomes.

Exciting learning opportunities happen for children all day, every day.  We provide experiences that the children are interested in, going above and beyond to ensure we seek the appropriate resources to extend the children’s learning and encourage them to become curious thinkers.  See some of our great learning moments in our stories below...
