BestStart Heuheu Street Kindy (formally Community Kindy Heuheu Street) is a purpose-built kindy that caters for children from 2-5 years, situated in the local Taupo CBD between the Spoon & Paddle Café and Jetts Gym. ERO has rated BestStart Heuheu Kindy in the top 7% of NZ childcare centres providing positive learning outcomes for children.

We identify children’s individual interests and plan our programme according to these interests. Our programme planning is always alive throughout Kindy life as we foster children to thrive through their interests.

Community Kindy Heuheu Street is absolutely AMAZING. My child, who arrived very shy and quiet, has blossomed into this happy and outgoing wee girl since attending this Centre. I cannot stress how much effort the teachers put in to the child day in and day out, they always greet you with a smile and give you daily updates as to how your child has been. I am incredibly stoked with the progress my daughter is making since she started Kindy and how much she has learnt in the last few months. The teachers are always accommodating to your needs and have an endless amount of patience. The facilities are great and there is always so much for the kids to do.
