BestStart Allenton

BestStart Allenton, formerly ABC Allenton, is a high quality early learning centre providing a specialised environment for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers in the heart of Allenton. We offer flexible hours and are conveniently open from 7am to 6pm. Our wonderful cook supplies morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack every day, all in line with the NZ Heart Foundation Healthy Heart guidelines.

Our relationship - Our centre focuses on nurturing children and their whānau through fun, laughter and open communication. These relationships are nurtured throughout our centre, at all levels.

Our programme - Our teachers believe in providing a stimulating setting that sparks children’s curiosity and challenges them to explore and become active in their world. We provide children with the time, space, resources and support to further themselves as capable and confident learners and explorers.

Birth to school age is a pivotal stage in the growth and development of our young people, and we feel privileged to share this time with you and your child while providing them with the very best level of care and education to support their physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual lives.

Four learning areas - Our passionate and engaged team of teachers provide care and education within the inviting indoor and outdoor settings.

Our environment has been designed and built for the changing needs of growing and developing tamariki. Our setting provides four unique classrooms and each is designed to meet these every changing needs and interests.

Our under 2 year old areas promote connections, confidence and free movement as our teachers partner with families to support our youngest learners.

Our over  year old areas celebrate self-help skills, independence, risk taking and preparation for school through our  Be School Ready initiative. We are situated next door to schools, making our Be School Ready initiative accessible and providing opportunities for families and children to form lasting relationships through to school and beyond
